Oh Boy...

So I lost my phone on Monday. In my very first class. I've been doing everything I can to find it. I've been to the campus lost and found multiple times a day and I'm pretty sure they have my name memorized. Oh, and in the past few days I've hit my head on the top bunk, hit my arms against the doors and punched the wall on accident. I've spilled sugar, and burned my face a little. I've fallen down a few stairs and there are bruises and cuts in various places all over my body. My arms itch, my legs itch, and my back itches. I'm pretty sure I have a million bug bites. Did I mention the bruise on my face now looks like dirt? Everyone thinks my face is dirty. Anyway, other than that, college life is great!

Midsummer Resolution

I've decided to attempt blogging. For real! Not just for a school class, but more like a diary... for everyone to read. So look forward to a bunch of strange posts!

commercial outline

Funny Pepsi Comercial
Young boy travels to a monastery, and is taken in. He is trained and becomes one of them. Finally one day he passes all the tests, and every monk opens a Pepsi, and they drink. He gains the symbol of their group by smashing the can with his forehead. This is an effective commercial because it appeals to humor... and thirst. It implies that after a hard task, the best way to celebrate is by opening a can and knockin' it back. It also implies that Pepsi is something that should be held in high regards because a group of people have devoted their lives to it.

Trade companies have to be careful when trading in different countries because invasive species that may come over with the items tend to destroy local ecosystems. Although, not all species that hitch a ride can be classified as an invasive species.

Potential Topic!!

I was thinking about writing the issues paper on international trade. I might focus on how some invasive species (plant, insect, or animal) have taken over the native species in certain countries. This is certainly bad for the native ecosystems. These events would not have happened without globalization.

RA Process

Starting the RA process was tough for me. I was not used to writing about how a writer effects his audience. I think that it was harder than the opinion editorial because with the OpEd, we chose a subject to write about that we were interested in. The peer review did help a lot though. I certainly needed help and my group was super nice about my paper. Something that I need to work on with my paper is transition sentences. It shouldn't be too hard finishing up my paper. Good luck to everyone!
